Hypnotherapy is a form of behavior modification counseling coupled with the theory of neuroscience. It is a holistic approach of “Total Sensory Communication” between the mind, body, and emotions, providing a powerful and effective means of creating permanent lifestyle changes.
By combining hypnosis with specialized therapeutic techniques, a professionally trained hypnotherapist acts as a guide to assist you in releasing old, negative habits and fears that keep you from reaching your goals.
World-renowned doctor, lecturer, and educator, Dr. Joe Dispenza believes that you can achieve anything in life once you learn how to rewire your brain and recondition your body. His research in the field of neuroscience, Dr. Joe states that:
“We are marvels of flexibility, adaptability, and a neuroplasticity that allows us to reformulate and re-pattern our neural connections to produce the kind of behaviors that we want. We have the power to alter our brain, our behaviors, personalities, and ultimately our reality. Through the concept of mental rehearsal (hypnosis), the circuits in our brains can reorganize themselves to reflect our intention for change."
"When we change our mind, our brain changes, and when we change our brain, our mind changes!"
WHAT IS HYPNOSIS?
Hypnosis is a heightened state of focus and suggestibility in which the body and conscious mind are in a relaxed, natural state while the subconscious mind remains very alert and receptive to positive suggestions for change.
People often refer to hypnosis as a “trance-like state,” where one can concentrate intensely on a specific thought, memory, feeling, or sensation while blocking out distractions.
Your mind is like a computer and hypnosis is essentially how you take in information from the world around you to form programs or subconscious associations.Â
When used in Hypnotherapy it is a valuable tool that can bypass the critical analysis of your mind so that positive suggestions can be accepted and then incorporated into a new “automatic” behavior.Â
While hypnosis can be used for personal benefit, it cannot cause you to do anything against your free will or ethics. Therapeutic hypnosis is used to improve your health and well-being and is different from stage hypnosis, which is used for entertainment purposes only.
"The difference between meditation and hypnosis is that while meditation helps you focus and ACCEPT a problem, hypnosis allows you to make changes and DO something about it."
WHAT IS SELF HYPNOSIS?
When hypnosis is performed by a hypnotherapist or by listening to an audio program, it is called “hetero-hypnosis.”
When hypnosis is performed solely by you, it is referred to as “self-hypnosis.” Self-hypnosis is very beneficial when working with general self-improvement issues. It is not recommended for more serious or deep-seated mental or emotional concerns.
Self-hypnosis is governed by two laws of suggestibility in order for it to work. The Law of Association and the Law of Repetition. The more you use self-hypnosis in your daily life, the more effective and rapid these changes will be.Â
In order to learn self-hypnosis, you must first establish a series of anchors or signals, for the mind and body to go into a trance-like state.
These anchors are in the form of a key word such as relax, calm, or focus, deep breathing techniques, and a physical reminder such as touching your thumb and fingers together to initiate your trance.
When combined with a hypnotic countdown into the subconscious mind, a person can then enlist a series of positive suggestions for physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
WHAT IS HYPNOTIZABILITY?
The term "hypnotizability" is a trait professionals use that follows a normal 80/20 distribution. About 20% of the population are either highly hypnotizable or less responsive. Everyone else falls in between a natural state of hypnotic suggestibility.
We are in a state of hypnotic suggestibility every day. Driving down the road and missing your exit is called highway hypnosis.
Getting caught up in a good book, watching a movie, or listening to music are other examples, or when you are laser focused on a project, in the sports zone and even in a deep state of prayer.
In my consultations, I am asked; "How many sessions will it take?"
My answer is that change takes place when the neural pathways of your brain accept and installs a new program. Most clients have excellent results in just a few sessions while others may benefit from my Trance-Formational Packages to get past their deep subconscious blocks and lifelong behavioral patterns.
I have found in my 34 years of experience that everyone at any age can benefit from having a personal hypnotherapy session with a qualified professional.

"From the moment I met Michele, I knew that she was going to be an amazing teacher and mentor in my life. Her inner and outer beauty shine just as brightly as all of the wisdom and compassion that she gives to her students and clients. At first, I was Michele’s hypnosis student, and I continued on to study past life regression under her expert instruction as well. I learned so much about myself and my own hypnosis practice. I still refer to my notes from her class."

"I went to Michele to help me overcome my fear of snakes due to a trauma in my childhood. I was done with allowing that feeling to ever creep up in my body again, and I asked myself, “Why suffer with a fear or phobia that holds you back? It’s time to let it go!” So I went to the best Hypnotherapist that I could find in L.A. and in one session I was kissing a snake and then wanted to go volunteer at the reptile rescue!"
